Built on Native AGV Technology | VisionNav VNE40-66 Unlocks Autonomous 4-Ton, 4.5-Meter Heavy-Duty Stacking

As smart manufacturing and intelligent warehousing continue to evolve, some of the greatest automation challenges remain in heavy-load, high-bay applications. Conventional retrofit AGVs often struggle with chassis compatibility, lifting stability under heavy loads, and safe high-level stacking. As a result, many 4-ton material handling tasks still rely on manual forklifts for stacking and rack storage, driving up labor costs while increasing the risk of product damage, rack collisions, and workplace accidents. These limitations have become a major obstacle to warehouse automation.

Built on VisionNav Robotics' fully self-developed technology platform, the VNE40-66 Counterbalance AGV combines a purpose-built autonomous vehicle architecture with 4-ton load capacity and 4.5-meter lift height, addressing one of the industry's largest automation gaps in heavy-duty stacking and rack handling. Designed for industries such as heavy manufacturing, bulk warehousing, new energy, building materials, and automotive components, the VNE40-66 delivers a fully integrated autonomous material handling solution that transforms one of the most demanding warehouse operations into a stable, repeatable, and scalable process.

Native AGV Architecture - Designed for Autonomy from the Ground Up

Many heavy-duty AGVs on the market are converted from conventional manned forklifts. Because these vehicles were originally engineered for manual operation, retrofitted autonomous systems often suffer from compromised performance, complicated maintenance, and reduced overall reliability.

Unlike retrofit solutions, the VNE40-66 was engineered from day one as a dedicated AGV. Every major system was designed specifically for autonomous operation, including the vehicle architecture, chassis, counterweight distribution, hydraulic lifting system, perception hardware, electronic controls, and drive system.

Key advantages include:

  • Vehicle structure optimized for autonomous navigation, fleet coordination, and continuous 24/7 unmanned operation, with chassis balance and load distribution engineered specifically for heavy-load rack handling.
  • Fully integrated control, drive, and perception systems with tightly coupled hardware and software, eliminating wiring redundancy, signal interference, and reliability issues common in retrofit designs.
  • Modular native architecture that simplifies maintenance. Core components can be serviced or replaced without disassembling retrofit equipment, reducing maintenance costs, minimizing downtime, and increasing overall equipment utilization.

4-Ton Capacity with 4.5-Meter Lift Height for Heavy-Duty Automated Stacking

Automating heavy-load stacking and rack storage, especially for automotive components, bulk materials, and oversized load carriers, has traditionally been one of the most difficult warehouse applications. Conventional AGV conversions often experience declining positioning accuracy and stability when lifting loads above 2.5 tons beyond approximately 3 meters due to shifting centers of gravity.

The VNE40-66 overcomes these limitations through purpose-built heavy-duty engineering.

Rated Load Capacity: 4,000 kg

The vehicle features a reinforced counterbalance chassis, heavy-duty mast, and high-flow hydraulic system. The mast is rigidly integrated into the vehicle frame, while adjustable mast tilt (-6° to +6°) enables precise fork positioning during storage and retrieval operations.

Even under a full 4-ton payload, lifting, traveling, and stacking operations remain stable and controlled, significantly reducing the risk of load shifting, vehicle instability, or tipping.

Maximum Lift Height: 4.5 meters

Powered by VisionNav Robotics' multi-sensor fusion technology, the VNE40-66 maintains millimeter-level placement accuracy even while lifting fully loaded pallets to heights of 4.5 meters.

The system enables fully autonomous transportation, multi-level stacking, and rack storage operations while maximizing warehouse vertical storage capacity and improving space utilization.

Built for Heavy Industrial Applications

With its native AGV architecture, 4-ton payload capacity, and 4.5-meter lift height, the VNE40-66 is designed for demanding applications including:

  • New energy material warehouses
  • Automotive parts distribution centers
  • Steel and building material warehouses
  • Bulk raw material logistics
  • Heavy equipment parts storage
  • Any warehouse requiring high-capacity transport and high-bay storage

The vehicle provides a comprehensive automation solution for heavy-load transportation, multi-level stacking, and automated rack storage and retrieval.

Redefining Heavy-Duty Warehouse Automation

From retrofit-based automation to purpose-built autonomous vehicles, and from light-duty applications to heavy-load, high-bay operations, the VisionNav VNE40-66 Counterbalance AGV represents a new generation of industrial automation.

Powered by VisionNav Robotics' fully self-developed technology platform, the VNE40-66 removes long-standing barriers to heavy-duty warehouse automation and expands the possibilities of autonomous material handling.
