Logistics - Indoor Horizontal Transportation

With the rising demand for warehouse, transportation, and other logistics services, the global Third-Party Logistics (3PL) industry is rapidly expanding and evolving. 3PL providers offer a comprehensive range of logistics services to businesses, including warehousing, order fulfillment, inventory management, and automated transportation. By utilizing 3PL services, businesses can reduce logistics costs and focus on their core operations. With the growing market demand, 3PL companies face higher and more refined requirements. For example, how to efficiently meet the diverse needs of multiple clients? How to reduce warehouse operating costs? How to ensure precise and accurate management, among others. As a call, maintaining a sustainable logistics process is the most effective way to resolve these concerns.

Today and in the future, more 3PL providers will focus on sustainability as a way to differentiate their business and be better environmental stewards. VisionNav recently helped a client in the 3PL industry upgrade their warehouse by implanting intralogistics automation solutions. The fully automated warehouse covers 26 000 square meters. It includes four warehouse sections: a shipping area, an inspection area, a collaborative warehouse, an e-commerce warehouse, and shuttle-style rack aisles.

Solution

Based on a comprehensive assessment of the customer's warehouse layout and business processes regarding efficiency, cost, and scalability, it is recommended to introduce multiple units of VNSL14 pallet stacker AGVs along with the Robot Control System (RCS) 2.0.

These VNSL14 pallet stacker AGVs are specifically designed for efficient material handling. They can navigate through warehouses featured with narrow aisles; they are navigated shuttling among Shipping Area, Check-waiting Area, Collaborative Warehouse, and E-commerce Warehouse. They optimized the logistics flow and reduced operational costs for the client's side.

By implementing the RCS2.0, the client can centrally manage and coordinate the movements of the VNSL14 autonomous forklifts. This system ensures smooth and efficient operations, minimizing the risk of collisions or congestion. It also provides flexibility for future expansion and integration with other robotic solutions.

The RCS2.0 can be further enhanced to support dual-vehicle cooperative operations. It can manage and optimize the allocation of tasks between autonomous forklifts based on real-time data and priorities. This includes dynamically adjusting routes, optimizing load balancing, and minimizing unnecessary movements, thus maximizing the overall efficiency of material transportation.

With the implementation of dual-vehicle cooperative operations and an advanced control system, the client can significantly improve material handling throughput, reduce transit times, and achieve higher efficiency in transferring materials within the warehouse.
